STGAP2S Galvanically Isolated 4 A Single Gate Driver
STMicroelectronics' STGAP2S with 4 A capability and rail-to-rail outputs is available in two configurations
STMicroelectronics' STGAP2S is a single gate driver which isolates the gate driving channel from the low voltage control and interface circuitries. The gate driver is characterized by 4 A capability and rail-to-rail outputs, making the device also suitable for high power inverter applications such as motor drivers in industrial applications. The device is available in two configurations. The configuration with separated output pins allows the gate driver to independently optimize turn-on and turn-off by using dedicated gate resistors. A configuration featuring single output pin and Miller clamp function allows for avoiding gate spikes during fast commutations in half-bridge topologies.
Features
Single isolated driver 8-pin SO-8: minimum footprint compact and simple design
Embedded isolation: reduce BOM cost
Separated output or Miller clamp option: flexibility
Miller clamp: avoid the induced turn-on phenomenon
Home appliances
Industrial inverters (600 V/1200 V inverters)
